Just Wait

Desperately, helplessly, longingly, I cried.
Quietly, patiently, lovingly God replied.
I pled and I wept for a clue to my fate,
And the master so gently said, “Child, you must wait!"

"Wait?” you say, "Wait!" my indignant reply.
"Lord, I need answers, I need to know why!"
Is your hand shortened? Or have you not heard?
By FAITH I have asked, and am claiming your word.

"My future and all to which I can relate
Hangs in the balance, and you tell me to WAIT?
I'm needing a "yes", a go ahead sign
Or even a "no", to which I can resign.

"And Lord, you promised that if we believe
We need but to ask, and we shall receive.
And Lord, I've been asking, and this is my cry:
I'm weary of asking! I need a reply!"

Then quietly, softly, I learned of my fate
As my Master replied once again, "You must wait."
So, I slumped in my chair, defeated and taut
And grumbled to God, "So, I'm waiting...for what?"

He seemed then to kneel and his eyes wept with mine,
And he tenderly said, "I could give you a sign.
I could shake the heaves, and darken the sun.
I could raise the dead, and cause mountains to run.
All you seek, I could give, and pleased you would be.
You would have what you want...but you wouldn't know
ME.

You'd not know the depth of my love for each saint;
You'd not know the power that I give to the faint;
You'd not learn to see through clouds of despair;
You'd not learn to trust just by knowing I'm there;
You'd not know the joy of resting in me
When darkness and silence were all you could see.

You'd never experience that fullness of love
As the peace of my spirit descends like a dove;
You'd know that I give and save...for a start,
But you'd not know the depth of the beat of my heart.

The glow of my comfort late into the night.
The faith that I give when you walk without sight,
The depth that's beyond getting just what you asked
Of an infinite God, who makes what you have LAST.

You'd never know, should your pain quickly flee,
What it means that "My grace is sufficient for thee"
Yes, your dreams for your loved ones overnight would
come true, but oh, the LOSS!
If I lost what I'm doing in you!

"So, be silent, my child, and in time you will see
THAT THE GREATEST OF GIFTS
IS TO GET TO KNOW ME.
And though oft may my answers seem terribly late,
My wisest of answers is still but to WAIT."

Every job plays a role in shaping the world

Very often, communication and public relations are being viewed by the society in a negative perception, a career that does not have a bright future or not earning well compared to professional jobs like doctors, engineers, accountants, lawyers. The media plays a significant role in changing perception, conveying message to the public and as trasmitting social values powerfully to educate the people. The movies you watch, the music you have been listening too through the radio, the magazines and newspapers you been reading are all media. Communication is about transforming a half-bitten apple into a world icon, turning and eccentric idea to a business success and the list goes on. We are being influence by the media daily without even knowing it. Without communication, life would be liveless. As a communication student, I'm proud to be one.

I believe every occupation plays an important role in shaping the world.
The world needs doctors to cure the sick.
The world need leaders who cares about the people, justice and human rights.
The world needs marketers and advertisers to satisfy the needs and wants of the consumers.
The world needs engineers to build the home we live in and the road we travel on.
The world needs media practitioners to convey a persuasive message or communication.
The world needs journalists to inform the news and educate the society.
The world needs lawyers to uphold justice and human rights.
Even a rubbish collector and a sweeper is important to keep the city clean.

Therefore, it is important to know that our career path is driven not only for the high salary but driven by passion and service to the nation. We need to start learning to respect and appreciate the jobs of people from different walks of life. Every occupation no matter is big or small, plays a role in the society. We just need to realise there's a purpose behind every occupation we are in.

Langkawi Day 2

Pictures, more pictures in Langkawi.. An amazing place to go wild, spending quality time with your circle of friends.

Totally random. The passerby must be thinking what this group of girls trying to do in the middle of the road. It left me breathless as we have been jumping for over 7 times to make sure it's perfect.

Island hopping was my favourite activity throughout the 3 days in Langkawi. The wind was so strong that you certainly don't need a hair dryer to dry your hair. Thank God, my friend DSLR didnt slipped through her fingers and went straight down to the ocean.

Well, you can certainly hear a group of lunatic girls screaming their hearts out and giggling with joy in the middle of the ocean.. Tasik Dayang Bunting was a fascinating place for a holiday. The sight of green mother nature cannot be described with words until your very own eyes has actually viewed it. The sound of the waves hitting the rocky stones and the beat of the trees dancing to it's rhythm.

The monkeys over here are pretty cute.. hee hee.. One that really captures my heart is the little one with super huge eyes hugging it's mummy. Reminds me of my mum.. Awww~

The lake was quite scary at first, especially it's dark green color. I was quite relunctant to jump in without the life jacket even though I am a swimmer... I admit, I'm a scardy cat.. but prevention is better than cure.. =P

The next destination would be Kota Kinabalu. I will be waiting for you...

Where is the Love? Campaign

Life in semester 6 was crazy.. rushing assignments deadlines back to back, burning midnight oil, planning and organising 'Where is the Love' exhibition. Coming out with the concept was a disaster. Brainstorm, mind-map, sketch, research.. Like what my lecturer told us, "when you are in advertising, your project becomes your baby." Her prediction was right. I literally eat eith Adidas and there were times I even dreamt about it or having nightmare.

Managing your team for a big event is ain't easy. I apologised for being an 'auntie' that keeps reminding the task you are assigned and being too demanding. I guessed the word Perfectionist describe me best..lol. Above all, I had a lot of fun that day. Getting praises from other faculty lecturers and seeing their smiles on their face was an achievement.

At the end of the day, I felt great. A sense of accomplishment. Imagine all the hardwork and effort you put in, and what you got was a masterpiece! Thanks guys...

Snapshots of the day..

Credits goes to Calvin for his design.

Look at the crowd.. heehee

Smile, though your Heart is Aching..

Smile, though your Heart is aching..

1. Smiling Makes Us Attractive

Smile is THE Attraction Factor..

2. Smiling Changes Our Mood

Girls, you don't need to stuff those fattening chocolate down your throat when your feeling down.. Try smiling, is fat-free. Smiling can trick your body into helping you change your mood. Pretty amazing huh??

3. Smiling Is Contagious

Smiling spreads the joy virus all around.

4. Smiling Relieves Stress

The day when everything went wrong, tonnes of problem waiting to be in your solving lists, assignments due tomorrow and exam is 2 weeks away. Smiling helps to prevent us from looking tired, worn down, and overwhelmed. When you are stressed out, take time to put on a BIG smile. A smile a day, keep stress away!

5. Smiling Boosts Your Immune System

Smiling helps the immune system to work better. It prevents flu and colds. Especially the H1N1 epidemic is on, smile is your best vitamin.

6. Smiling Lowers Your Blood Pressure

When you smile, there is a measurable reduction in your blood pressure. Give it a try if you have a blood pressure monitor at home. Sit for a few minutes, take a reading. Then smile for a minute and take another reading while still smiling. Do you notice a difference?

7. Smiling Releases Endorphins, Natural Pain Killers and Serotonin

Studies have shown that smiling releases endorphins, natural pain killers, and serotonin. Together these three make us feel good. Smiling is a natural drug.

8. Smiling Lifts the Face and Makes You Look Younger

The muscles we use to smile lift the face, making a person appear younger. You can forget about getting a face lift, botox and yada yada.. Just try smiling your way through the day -- you'll look 10 years younger and feel better. (I'm eXXagerating)

9. Smiling Makes You Seem Successful

Smiling people appear more confident, are more likely to be promoted, and more likely to be approached. Put on a smile at meetings and appointments and people will react to you differently. You can't be going for an interview with your plum face.. =)

10. Smiling Helps You Stay Positive

Try this test: Smile. Now try to think of something negative without losing the smile. It's hard. When we smile our body is sending the rest of us a message that "Life is Great, man!" Say goodbye to depression, stress and worry by smiling.

Farewell MJ..

I'm saddened by the death of Michael Jackson.. The man that brought music to life. Leaving a legacy behind with his inimitable moonwalk, mind-blowing dance moves, his brilliant musical arrangement and furthermore his passion in making a difference in the world of music and reality. His MTV is simply unique as it has a hidden meaning beneath it and expresses the story accurately.

MJ put full use of his talent in inspiring the young generation and the world about humanitarianism. I still remembered his songs ‘We are the World’, ‘Black or White’ and ‘Heal the World’ conveying the message of unity and love. Not forgetting, his heart of gold and compassion to the less fortunate and children.

MJ’s death reveals that we take things for granted when our loved ones are here with us. And when they are gone, regret haunts us for not appreciating and cherishing them with our love and care.

His contribution to humanity and music will never be forgotten throughout the years, but will be memorised in the hearts of many.

Farewell MJ..

Someone watching over me...

Found myself today
Oh I found myself and ran away
Something pulled me back
The voice of reason I forgot I had
All I know is you're not here to say
What you always used to say
But it's written in the sky tonight

So I won't give up
No I won't break down
Sooner than it seems life turns around
And I will be strong
Even if it all goes wrong
When I'm standing in the dark
I'll still believe
Someone's watching over me

Seen that ray of light
And it's shining on my destiny
Shining all the time
And I wont be afraid
To follow everywhere it's taking me
All I know is yesterday is gone
And right now I belong
To this moment to my dreams

It doesn't matter what people say
And it doesn't matter how long it takes
Believe in yourself and you'll fly high
And it only matters how true you are
Be true to yourself and follow your heart

Somehow this beautiful song by Hillary Duff captured my heart the very first time I heard it. Somehow it reminded me of my relationship with my Heavenly Father above.

One who has never gave up on me when I had disappointed HIM at times.
One who stands by your side when the world seems to fall apart.
One who was my strength when I am weak
One who saw the best it was in me
One who brought exceeding joy and faith to my life

Above all, one who has always loved me from the day He had knitted me to my mum’s wombs till the day my hair turns grey too. Plus, His Heart is huge and has many rooms to love everyone including you.

By faith, I knew that someone is watching over me with his loving eyes and tender heart. In times when there were storms in my life, just a word of prayer, I saw a rainbow ahead and I knew he heard my little prayer; He lifted down his hand and carried me above the storm.

I felt peace and complete serenity. And I knew there’s God watching over me..
That I will stand strong and firm with His word as my ground. Unshaken.

The Day with the Jewel of Kedah

I have been waiting desperately for that thing.. to relieve myself from dreadful reality.. i need a BREAK.. That's the only reason why I'm right here in Langkawi, The Jewel of Kedah not forgetting with a bunch of holiday maniac and Little Ms Shopping..

Day 1
Arrived at the House of 9 at 9.30 am where 12 holiday freaks gathered. We being fetched by three (Fast and Furious) cars to the LCCT Airport due to late arrival. Hahaha overslept I supposed..

On the way to the plane also have to camwhore.. with the beautifully-crafted white plane with a splash of flaming, hot red. Up on the plane.. well, was nervous at first due to my very first experience travelling on the sky. Some friends were busy flashing with their cameras, some reading those boring magazines with a clutter of advertisements, some were fast asleep and some where complaining that the air stewardess doesn't look pretty or gorgeous. They criticise them from head to toe. Well, being judgemental are some friends prior strength... lol

As for me, deep in my thoughts, I was just overwhelmed with the creator of the airplane, gosh can't remember his name.. Wrights something.. How awesome it is to create something so big, accomodating a number of people which can stay put on the sky despite the magnetic, sticky gravity. Gravity a vaccuum suction that sucks you down on the ground.. Suddenly, a mutiple of physics theory just bang my head, and I started counting figures and rationalise the entire concept of the theory.. I shut my brain cells and immediately fall asleep..

Cotton candy clouds

We have reached Langkawi airport. Three rented cars with engines on were waiting impatiently for us to ride on. We dashed to the car and into the Sugary Sands .. It's a resort ! It's a hotel! It's a MOTEL.. One must not judge by its cover is proven. The motel looks ancient but the room was not so bad after all. Dump my bag, jump on my bed.. YEAH!!

Speaking of shopping, we REIGN.. from chocolates to beer, from beer to liquor, from liquor to perfume.. Plenty of alcohol consumption.. through drinking and spraying.. Trust me, you havent seen how our divas did their shopping spree...

Colourful and cute little bottles

At 5 pm, we make our feets wet. The yellow sandy beach and the not-so-cystal blue water... I was too exhausted to join my friends modelling and swimming by the beach.. Just took a stroll by the beach with my faithful camera. The scenery of the island was breathless.. The way blue being mixed with green was beautiful, representing land, sky and sea. I took lots of photos btw..

Personalise my name..

Breathtaking sunset scenery

The night was still young.. We walked around the town and bought souvenirs. Managed to drop by at another beach by the resort.. It symbolises REdang.. Not fair!! The sands is so much finer than ours. Can't really see the water because it was dark.. No comment..

It was party time... We played true or dare.. Everyone dark secrets and mysteries were finally revealed.. sorry, I'm not sharing.. lol. The ones being forfeited has to gulp down a cup of Johnie Walker Black Label with Sprite. As for me, I just savoured my Vodka with 5% alcohol... for punishment I took a mouthful of the cup.. Apologies for my not-so-good drinking skills.

Life as a Student..

I was overjoyed after internship is over. For once, I can have my life back after the 3-months of sleepless nights and tremendous hard work. No TV, no SLEEP.. the list goes on.

Well, my luck wasn't that good perhaps. I though that life would have been better , as I enrolled to my new semester. I flipped open my white, A4 size timetable with excitement and what I saw was total disaster.. I had four dreaded days of 8am class.. Moans and shrieks was heard echoing across the corridor, for me I was still in shock...

Out of nowhere, my lecturer requested me to present my internship experience to my fellow juniors. Well, I love threatening and warning juniors before the industry shock them to bits. Responsible senior I would say.. Immediately , I agreed.

The event was a grand event with a gargantuan of formal procedures. Talks were given by renowned career enthusiasts from Deloitte, British America Tobacco, Digi and others about the current recession that has been haunting Malaysians with jobs and without.

Here I am, being positioned in the middle number to present. I wish I could just go up to the stage, speak my mind out and finished it before my heart just jumps out from my chest. My fellow presenters before me are super eloquent speakers. They spoked so fast and fluent that can even put the machine gun to shame.

Seriously, the most scariest part was waiting in line for your turn. Wondering why, I'm afraid of the square, still stage..I am a pure drama queen, and have participated state level drama competitions for 2 years yet I chickened out on stage.. As I was half way visualising myself on the stage, the MC introduced me to the audience.. "Opps my turn," I murmured softly in my heart.. That's the moment where all the inspirational songs of worships flow continuously from my very lips.

The feeling of standing on a big stage, with 500 eyes staring at you and a panel of judges with their seriousness on their face judging you was simply indescribable. Well, I tried my very best to communicate to the audience and makes sure that they stay awake, stay alert by blending in some dry humour. Guess that I'm just too passionate about my job as an intern and continue talking non stop. I finished my last word on stage. Dashed down. The satisfaction gained was unexplainable. I did it!
